Welcome to Faith Village
“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”
James 1:27 ESV
Faith Village is dedicated to supporting the vulnerable children of Dunoon township by providing nourishing meals, educational opportunities, and, in the future, safe homes where they can experience love and security while receiving the education they deserve. Additionally, we extend our services to the adults of Dunoon, emphasizing personal growth through skills training and fostering spiritual development.
WHAT WE DO
Soup Kitchen
Incorporated in 2010, we have been serving the community of Site5 and the greater area of the Dunoon township with meals that are not only nourishing, but delicious too!
Our Soup Kitchen runs every second Saturday, throughout the year.
Reading Room
Our Reading Room Program started in 2016. We started this Pre and Primary School initiative to help enhance the literacy rate of children in disadvantaged areas, thus improving their chances of graduating from High School and going on to University. The Reading Room Program includes reading, writing, fine motor skill development, puzzle building, dancing, singing and lots of fun educational games.
Training Academy
Our Training Academy was founded in 2021. We are licensed to train and certify baristas, offering the unemployed of Dunoon tools for a better future.
We also offer a Work Readiness Program, training, equipping & empowering the people of Dunoon for future employment opportunities.
Love Renovation
We partner with other local churches and run clothing and food drives annually during significant times (such as Easter and Christmas) and distribute the goods we receive to those who are in need.
Church
We believe in the transformative power of the Gospel. Faith Village Church launched in 2022, providing a safe space for the people of Dunoon to come to know Jesus in a loving and caring environment. Our focus is to transform hearts and minds to walk in the fullness of who God created them to be, with the knowledge that we are all sons and daughters of God Almighty.
