WHAT WE BELIEVE

We are a group of people who are passionate about social justice and transformation in our city. Our NPC was founded on the biblical principle of James 1:27 – we believe that it is our mandate to look after orphans and widows in anyway that we can.

“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. “

James 1:27 ESV

Q & A

When did Faith Village start?
This journey started in 2010 when we heard the call of God to go and serve poor communities. In 2015 we registered as Faith Village.
What was the motivation behind the idea?
The motivation was purely to serve the less privileged and to save the orphaned and vulnerable children in our communities and surrounds.
What’s the concept behind Faith Village?
To transform abandoned and vulnerable orphans and children into loved and cared for sons and daughters.
What do we do?

We help the needy, vulnerable and underprivileged.

What are some of our past/current successful events/initiatives?

We have fed and clothed hundreds of children, planted vegetable gardens for almost 30 families, and taught language, phonics, spelling, comprehension, listening and reading skills to children in Dunoon. We have also upskilled many unemployed young adults and adults, equipping and empowering the prople of Dunoon for future employment opportunities

What are our goals?
To assist by equipping the less privileged with the necessary tools of life to lead them into a preferred future.
What do we want from you?

We would greatly appreciate your financial support, prayers, time (volunteering), to help us spread the vision and mission of Faith Village.

Describe the long term vision for Faith Village
We would have enough land to build cluster homes to house thousands of children, as well as a shelter for animals. The village would have a school, as well as medical and counselling facilities. We would also love playgrounds and sports fields – everything needed for a full and healthy environment for children to grow up in. We’d have volunteer moms and dads caring for children; teachers, medical staff and every other resource required for the success of the village. We also envision having farming areas for sustainable living and entrepreneurship.
